Tested in the rocky terrain of the North Cascades and Kamloops BC, the Trail Boss Bash Guard provides extra coupling protection for those occasional over-strikes and miss-hits against hard terrain objects. Slip the Bash Guard over the collar-end of your lower handle segment (easiest if done from the threaded coupling end), to help protect the coupling/collar attached to your digging head. Leave it in place, no need to remove/replace each time you dig. Compatible with the braced shovel clamp too.
