The Braced Round Shovel Head utilizes a unique Trail Boss braced coupling that transfers the bending forces induced by aggressive digging into the handle and away from the coupling connection. The round blade is made from formed and tempered steel, shaped for digging and moving dirt. The size 0 shovel blade is almost as large as a full-size shovel but fits easier in a backpack. [Handle not included.]

The unique brace and handle clamp/pin design transfers the bending forces to the handle, but as with all Trail Boss heads, attaching to and removing from the handle does not require tools. This shovel is more suitable to aggressive digging in tough soils and rocky and rooty conditions. The 14 gauge 7.5” wide blade, forged and tempered in the US makes this digger work like a full-size shovel. Pairs well with a steel handle segment.
