Here at Trail Boss we have a long relationship with THE Dakine Builder Pack. It was the first, it set the standard and it has helped countless Trail Boss tools get to where they really shine, DEEP. Updated in 2023 with some modern and significantly lighter materials we are happy to see this pack evolve and improve.
Here's what Dakine has to say:
Our ode to the art of trail building, the Builder Pack is a high-functioning tribute to the hardy souls who build and maintain trails around the world. Conceived more than 15 years ago with the goal of helping trail builders haul essential tools into their build zones, our one-of-a-kind Builder Pack has continually been refined through feedback from some of the world’s foremost trail builders—and this 40-liter version has been redesigned in 2023 with key features that make it even easier to carry full-sized tools from a vehicle to a work site, typically on foot. Updated with a rugged new 100% recycled polyester ripstop material, this pack boasts ample internal storage for snacks, gloves, extra clothes, personal protection equipment and first aid items. The reinforced chassis with anchors allows for low-center-of-gravity carriage of heavier power tools, with a large, expandable chainsaw pocket. The chassis can be converted to a flatbed configuration to carry bulky items such as the trusty five-gallon bucket, while external straps cinch down longer hand tools such as rakes, Pulaskis, and McLeods, with added daisy chains to keep them away from your head while you’re on the move. The front pockets have been enlarged for expanded storage of water bottles, spare batteries and fuel canisters, and a sturdy waistbelt and sternum strap with an integrated rescue whistle help keep cumbersome loads low and close to your body to give ultimate freedom of movement while you’re heading to build that sweet new line.
